Turbine Mechanical Fitter - Full Time - Maitland NSW, Australia

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter (Turbine) to join our Services_EAPA  team in Australia .

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Perform maintenance on steam and gas turbines, including complex tasks such as de-blading, re-blading, and rotor balancing, to maximize efficiency and operational longevity.
  • Ensure safety and quality compliance by following procedures, using protective gear, and adhering to company values.
  • Disassemble, repair, and balance mechanical equipment, including turbine shafts, journals, and housings, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct measurements and inspections using precision tools, filling out check sheets accurately.
  • Replace or repair mechanical components, including turbine gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearings, ensuring seamless operation and reduced downtime.
  • Operate and maintain balance of plant items, supporting overall equipment efficiency and reliability.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Trade Certificate III in Fitting & Turning or similar.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting on turbines and/or rotating machinery.
  • Strong ability to manage workloads effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver’s and Forklift Licence.
