Turbine Mechanical Fitter - Full Time - Maitland NSW, Australia

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter (Turbine) to join our Services_EAPA team in Australia .
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on steam and gas turbines, including complex tasks such as de-blading, re-blading, and rotor balancing, to maximize efficiency and operational longevity.
- Ensure safety and quality compliance by following procedures, using protective gear, and adhering to company values.
- Disassemble, repair, and balance mechanical equipment, including turbine shafts, journals, and housings, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct measurements and inspections using precision tools, filling out check sheets accurately.
- Replace or repair mechanical components, including turbine gears, seals, impellers, fans, and bearings, ensuring seamless operation and reduced downtime.
- Operate and maintain balance of plant items, supporting overall equipment efficiency and reliability.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Trade Certificate III in Fitting & Turning or similar.
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting on turbines and/or rotating machinery.
- Strong ability to manage workloads effectively while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Valid Driver’s and Forklift Licence.
