Join Our Field Services Team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer 🔧

Sulzer Australia is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Field Services team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Maitland, NSW. Role Highlights:

Lead technical overhauls of steam and gas turbines on-site

Provide expert guidance to site teams during overhaul practices

Assist in outage planning and management

Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless operations

Travel opportunities throughout APAC region

 

Key Duties:

🛠️ Perform fact-finding and condition assessments on turbine components

📝 Prepare HSEQ documentation and assist with outage planning

🔧 Advise on tooling requirements and assist with preparations

📊 Support outage scheduling and estimation processes

🤝 Liaise with customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders

📑 Prepare detailed reports post-overhaul activities

 

Job Requirements:

🎓 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field

🔩 Minimum 10 years' experience in Gas or Steam Turbines

🛠️ Completed OEM backed training on turbines

💡 Extensive knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance practices

👨👩👦👦 Strong leadership and team motivation skills

🔧 Experience in large maintenance outages and commissioning projects

💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
