Senior Data Engineer for Procurement & Supply Chain Analytics - Full Time - MadridSpain

Job purpose: assist the Head of Supply Chain Risk Management and Logistics at Sulzer by overseeing projects that involve mapping the company's supply chain, identifying global risks, and implementing mitigation strategies. The role includes developing processes for early risk identification, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting intelligence sharing across the organization for a competitive advantage.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

•    Collaborate in and continuously improve a Supply Chain Center of Excellence in a matrix structure for risk management across the divisions 
•    Cross-divisional collaboration across Sulzer’s divisions to define a common Sulzer Supply Chain Risk management and due diligence framework, develop Risk Mitigation Strategies with the divisions, plan audit schedule and share best practices / lessons-learned Sulzer wide.
•    Develop tools and trainings for continuous improvement and development of the Sulzer supplier base
•    In alignment with Head of Supply Chain Risk Management and Logistics: Develop partnerships with industry and academia to effectively leverage best practice and research.
•    Identify and manage projects to implement continuous improvements of the Sulzer Supply Chain

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

•    At least 3-5 years of working experience in procurement, supply chain management. 
•    Demonstrated practical experience in project management.
•    Knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain strategy, principles, processes, and best practices.
•    Knowledge and use of tools to support the function.
•    Experience using Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and SharePoint.
•    University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, business or related field.
•    English; any other language is an asset.
•    Excellent problem solving, analytical and organization skills.
•    Ability to lead and influence others in complex global matrixed organizations.
•    Manage stakeholders successfully in different time zones and cultures.
•    Effective in communication, strong wirtten and verbal communication skills.
•    Very independent working attitude.
•    Drive to find solutions to complex supply chain problems. 
•    Ability to combine business requirements and connect them to the Global Supply Chain Strategies.
