Senior Accountant - Full Time - Madrid, Spain

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and Swiss Code of Obligations.
• Accurate management of fixed assets and operational accounting (project, profit center, internal order, and cost center accounting).
• Recording incoming orders and project revenue using SAP.
• Maintaining various master data and daily monitoring of value flows in SAP.
• Hedge, equity, and lease accounting according to IFRS.
• Reconciling and managing various clearing accounts; balance sheet account reconciliation.
• Process responsibility and controls in the RTR area (ICS).
• Acting as a contact person for internal and external partners, including auditors, banks, and service partners.
• Supporting financial projects and initiatives (e.g. system implementations, process optimizations, automations).
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Solid basic education with further training in finance and accounting.
• Several years of professional experience in accounting according to IFRS; knowledge of local Swiss GAAP is an advantage.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing Swiss registered company and in project accounting is desired.
• Excellent SAP FI/CO knowledge, further modules are a plus (MM, SD, PS, VIM).
• Solid MS Office skills, strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English; good German skills are a plus.
• Confidence in closing accounts and a strong affinity for automated processes, logical thinking, and pragmatic solutions.
• Independent, responsible, and goal-oriented work style.
• Reliable and precise working methods as well as a customer-oriented attitude.
• Committed and cheerful personality who can maintain an overview and set priorities even in hectic situations.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
