Join our IT Team in Madrid as SAP Inhouse Consultant Finance & Controlling to work on SAP projects and to support our SAP ERP platforms in your area of expertise.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Facilitating, coordinating and contributing to feasibility studies
  • Understanding business processes and business requirements and creating functional specifications for implementation
  • Responsible for system build, thus hands on configuration skills are required
  • Responsible for solution design and contributing to harmonization initiatives
  • Incident and request resolution
  • Contributing actively to problem management and challenging incidents or change requests on the strategic SAP platforms
  • Providing or assisting with training of (key) users
  • Preparing test cases and test scripts and carrying out the integration testing as a part of the project delivery
  • Maintaining user and system documentation and incorporating changes as needed / appropriate
  • Keeping up to date with industrywide trends and best practices (both process and technology)
  • Ensure proper rollout / implementation of ERP roll-out projects for your area of responsibility
  • Identify and manage actions related to communication, training, master data management, etc. arising from and in connection with projects, both within and outside the IT community
  • Project management of the finance related projects

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Degree in technical or business studies, further training in SAP or equivalent experience
  • A strong portfolio of experience with SAP Finance and Controlling as a consultant, especially in Product Costing and Profitability Analysis
  • Experience in SAP Finance components: Fixed Assets, Banking, Accounts Receivables, Credit Control Management, Accounts Payables, Statutory, Indirect Tax and IFRS Reporting
  • Experience in Month and Year End closing and reporting. Knowledge of Schedule Manager or Closing Cockpit is a plus.
  • Knowhow from the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Experience from two or more successful SAP rollouts where you handled finance projects as your specialist area 
  • Knowhow in customizing finance modules, and understanding integration with other modules like SD and MM
  • Good process understanding and ability to be able to support SAP best practice approaches within different templates
  • Experience with Basware is considered an advantage
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Excellent collaboration, internal consulting and facilitation skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly and to adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
  • Readiness to travel (25 %)
