Master Data Analyst, Sulzer Services – Full time – Madrid, Spain

Join our Business Excellence team as Master Data Analyst, to help us take Sulzer Services Division to the next level. 


In this role you will improve quality of legacy and new data in SAP, MSD 365, SFDC or any other system. You will also develop governance process to support data becoming an enabler to grow the business. And finally, you will contribute to maintain guidelines and regulations that document the modus operandi ensuring proper training of the end users and coaching data champions.



Your main tasks and responsibilities will be


  • Guide and support data cleansing projects for legacy data as well as new ERP implementations including clear guidelines for handling the data
  • Lead and/or support projects related to Master Data Management managing further improvements as part of a continuous progress
  • Establish global Regulations applicable for Sulzer Services and/ or revise Flow Equipment and Sulzer Services related regulations, including: roll-out and training of global users
  • Distribute Sulzer Pumps Equipment Policy Manual updates within PS
  • Maintain the Equipment data quality dashboard (QlikView data quality monitoring tool): troubleshooting in case of issues, adjustments of logic and reports as per business requests
  • Support global users as well as Sulzer Services data management team regarding installed base related topics and data governance related topics
  • Ad hoc analysis of installed base data
  • Investigation of gaps in ERP processes regarding creation and changes of equipment master data leading to inaccurate installed base information, initiating measurements for improvement and supporting the IT team during development and implementation
  • Govern the tools user access management
  • Maintaining central mapping files feeding PS business tools (product related, application related, sales area related, target related. etc) and monitoring the alignment with SAPEng
  • Support Sulzer Services CRM or Customer Master Data portal data governanc


To succeed in this role, you will need

  • Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree - (mechanical engineer or Information Technology - preferrable with a Business Intelligence / Big Data / Business Analytics Master)
  • Experience of working alongside operations as "Business Partner"
  • Ideally product knowledge on rotating equipment
  • Sound knowledge on data governance, workflows and processes definition and documentation
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):
  • · Highly numerical and analytical skills
    · Highly Excel Skills
    · Understanding of systems and data bases concepts
    · Ideally SAP and/ or MSD experience
    · Ideally QlikView experience
    · Ideally SFDC experience
    · Ideally Analytics Studio experience
    · Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse Group
