IT Engagement and Training Specialist - Full Time - Madrid, Spain

We are looking for a/an IT Engagement and Training Specialist to join our team in Spain to play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of Sulzer’s IT transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic training and communication plans that drive user adoption of new technologies, processes, and operating models. The incumbent will lead the creation of engaging content, deliver training across diverse formats, and act as a change enabler across the organization. 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Design and implement comprehensive training and adoption strategies aligned with IT transformation goals and new operating models.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to assess training needs and define success metrics for adoption.
  • Lead change management initiatives to reduce resistance and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Create, curate, and tailor high-quality training materials – including documentation, how-to guides, e-learning modules, videos, and interactive workshops – for diverse audiences (technical teams, end-users, senior executives).
  • Deliver engaging training sessions both in-person and virtually to maximize knowledge retention.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to support transformation programs, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with business objectives
  • Prepare executive briefings and stakeholder updates that articulate the strategic value and impact of IT changes.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and the different stakeholders to ensure feedback loops and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor adoption metrics and user feedback to refine training and communication approaches. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • University degree in Organization Change Management, Communications or Learning & Development, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT training, end-user adoption, or change management roles within large, complex organizations.
  • Proven track record of supporting major IT transformations and/or implementation of new operating model at large scale
  • Strong experience in developing and delivering training and communication content across multiple formats and platforms to all the different stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Native-level proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in evolving environments.
  • Passionate about user enablement, digital transformation and communication.
  • Experience with tools such as SAP, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Workday or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, with sound analytical and conceptual abilities and a proactive approach.
