Head of Technical Architecture - Full Time - Madrid, Spain

We are looking for a Chief Technical Architect to join our Data, Analytics and Digital Team in Madrid.
 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

IT Strategy & Architecture:
  • Align architecture with business goals and communicate plans to stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage technical risks.
Solution Design & Delivery
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams.
  • Establish and maintain standards and best practices.
  • Support internal and external audits.
DevOps & Development:
  • Implement DevOps practices and define the technology stack.
  • Oversee technical execution and ensure architectural consistency.
  • Support build vs. buy decisions.
Cloud Architecture:
  • Design and implement cloud solutions (mainly Azure and GCP).
  • Translate business needs into scalable infrastructure.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a high-performing technical team.
  • Manage priorities and foster motivation.
Technology Innovation:
  • Scout emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Education and experience

  • Solid experience working in complex multi-country, multi-cultural, matrix environments
  • Strong technical background in various IT technologies, including infrastructure, applications, data, and security
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex IT systems
  • Project management experience and ability to manage large-scale IT projects
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills to lead and manage teams of IT architects and data engineers

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Knowledge in emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT architecture, Software Development, cloud & AI strategy
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT systems
  • Ability to align the IT architecture with the overall business strategy and goals of the company.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate the IT architecture strategy and plans to stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and manage IT architecture risks and issues
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
