External Communications - Full Time - Madrid, Spain

We’re seeking a media relations and communications specialist to support our corporate communications team. This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of information to our stakeholders.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Support answering media inquiries, prepare interviews and FAQs
  • Creation, distribution and follow-up of media releases
  • Media monitoring, maintenance of distribution lists
  • Co-leads editorial meetings, supports in content creation on group level
  • Financial communications: responsible for the timely distribution of all quarterly financial releases
  • Content support for midyear and annual reports including ESG report
  • Leads social media content for Sulzer Group
  • Responsible for corporate presentations
  • Support in organization of media trips
  • Responsible for corporate content on our website

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in communication sciences, journalism or other business-related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in media relations / communications roles, ideally within a stock listed, industrial company or a PR agency
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp new topics, work hands-on, and stay highly organized and self-driven in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the agility to adapt communication style effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, all other languages a plus
