We are looking for a/an Cost Controller to join our GF_Finance & Controlling, Accounting team in Spain.The role involves overseeing financial aspects of project management, including cost controlling, data aggregation, cost allocation, product costing, inventory valuation, project portfolio management, and revenue recognition.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Monitor and track project costs, hours, and sales to ensure they remain within budget and revenue targets.

Investigate and explain deviations in cost, labor hours, and sales by analyzing variances.

Monitor project cash flow, ensure positive cash flow on projects with the support of the Project Management Team.

Review project budget regularly, monthly or quarterly, with the project team and update the forecast if necessary.

Support accurate and timely revenue recognition and forecasting, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15.

Assist in gathering and analyzing financial data to support cost controlling activities, including helping to calculate cost allocation bases and performing initial cost allocations

Support the accurate calculation of standard and actual product costs and hourly rates.

Help perform inventory valuation tasks, ensuring data accuracy and assisting with routine updates.

Assist in maintaining and updating cost models and databases, ensuring that all relevant financial information is up-to-date and accurately reflects current operations.

Ensure all financial reporting and processes comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Ensure internal controls are in place for the processes performed by this role
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in cost controlling, project controlling, or related roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost and project controlling, with knowledge of IFRS 15 and Over Time revenue recognition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to report project financials and work with project managers and finance teams.
- Proficiency in ERPS (preferably SAP), Tagetik, Qlik Sense, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and English.
