We are looking for a/an Category Manager Logistics  to join our GF_Group Procurement  team in Spain .
 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

•    Execute a strategic sourcing process for assigned Logistics categories, including regular strategic tenders, as well as other spot tenders as required. 
•    Develop the ‘big picture’ to create the category strategy (stakeholder mapping, oversee research and data analysis, etc.) and develop category strategy in close collaboration with stakeholders from both procurement and the business to deliver targeted process improvement benefits and financial savings.
•    Establish core team/ resource requirements for category and ensure that strategy is properly communicated and implemented across geographies. Conduct and manage tender process for category.
•    Contract Development: Create negotiation plan, negotiate with suppliers, and communicate contract to relevant stakeholders. 
•    Qualify, develop, and manage strategic suppliers based on key KPI’s, including COPQ (Cost of Poor quality), TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), OTIF (On Time in Full), measured against Sulzer specifications and other strategic requirements. 
•    Work across a global matrix organization, harmonizing processes and best practices, whilst balancing global and local requirements. 
•    Development of reporting tool.
•    Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a global Co2 emission reporting System (Scope3) .
•    Provide specialized advice, guidance, and service on leading logistics procurement to all divisions and functions. 
•    Enforce category compliance within Sulzer as well as ensure quality standards are met for each supplier and ensure compliance (i.e. restricted party screening, financial checks, conflict of interest checks, forced labor, embargoed countries, etc.).
•    Support Group Sustainability efforts within all Logistics sourcing strategies.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

•    At least 8+ years of working experience in Global Logistics strategic sourcing on all modes of transport.
•    University degree in Logistics or related field .
•    In-depth know how of Logistics processes including warehouse & transportation required. 
•    Must have experience in setting up a 3PL (Third Party Logistics Provider solution) for a global company.
•    Must have logistics industry experience 
•    Demonstrated practical and solid experience in data analytics
•    Knowledge of Procurement Strategy 
•    Knowledge and use of tender tools to deliver incremental value. 
•    Manage Stakeholder successfully in different time zones and cultures.
•    Must be fluent in English, any additional language considered a plus. 
•    Experience using Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and SharePoint. 
•    Experienced using Business Intelligence Systems. 
•    Global Transportation tendering tools and methods.
