Commercial Specialist - Full Time - Lomm, Netherlands

Join our Sulzer Services team, which is one of the world's most advanced independent providers of repair, overhaul, and maintenance within the rotating equipment industry. We provide our customers worldwide with solid, customer-oriented, and flexible support for their gas turbines, steam turbines and compressors. Please join our proud and highly skilled international crew as Commercial Specialist.
The commercial team is very diverse and consist of 5 direct colleagues and a commercial manager.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Executing the proposal generation process within the Business Management System and with “First time right approach”
- Revising or creating proposals based upon needs of the customer and handle any necessary clarifications
- Driving the proposal management proactively by managing all technical and commercial risks with support of other stakeholders
- Ensuring all proposals are reviewed per Sulzer’s internal delegation of authority and create the opportunity specific calculations
- Managing the storage / archiving of the proposals and related information
- Screening of the Terms and Conditions and coordination of the review and modification of T&C’s with Legal and Commercial managers
- Supporting the regional/local/global sales team in all commercial matters to achieve the projects
To succeed in this role, you will need to:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in (mechanical) engineering or equivalent
- Have at least 3-7 years of sales experience with rotating equipment (gas turbines, steam turbines and compressors)
- Have very good business analysis skills
- Have a strong customer focus and very good communication skills
- Experience in Salesforce and D365 (Dynamics – ERP) are a plus
- Be fluent in written and spoken German and English other languages are a plus
- Open to travel for business purposes or training <15%

Location:
We are based in Lomm (close to Venlo), which is a great place to live. You can choose to live with the benefits of a city like Venlo, Eindhoven or Nijmegen which are all within an hour of travel or in the quieter villages close to our facility. Venlo is known as a strategic European logistic hub, close to the German border, with the availability of a highway network into all directions and easy access to international airports of Eindhoven, Düsseldorf and Weeze. Located with a National Park (Maasduinen) in the backyard of our office you can spend your lunchtime with a healthy walk with your colleagues. You could be also located in the Middle East or APAC region.
