Sulzer’s Pumps, Parts and Retrofit (PPR) Division is expanding and we’re looking for a strategic, data-driven leader to join us in a newly created role that will directly influence how we plan, forecast, and deliver across global markets. Sulzer’s PPR Division is at the heart of our aftermarket business, providing high-performance pump systems, critical spare parts, and custom retrofit solutions to industries ranging from energy and water to chemicals and manufacturing. We help customers extend the life of their equipment, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime, making sustainability and reliability a reality.
About the Role
As Regional Demand Manager, you’ll be the architect of our demand planning strategy within SiOP umbrella. Reporting to the Head of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SiOP), you’ll lead the development of accurate, data-driven forecasts that align with both tactical and long-term business goals. You’ll collaborate across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Engineering to ensure our plans are not only robust but also agile enough to respond to market shifts. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the business and a chance to shape how we operate regionally and globally.
Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Own and manage demand forecasts across third-party within Europe and Africa region and inter-company channels across the globe.
- Translate sales and market insights into actionable plans (short-term and strategic).
- Lead the SiOP demand review process and drive continuous improvement.
- Enhance forecasting systems and ensure governance and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand with business strategy.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience is what really counts.
- Proven experience in demand planning or forecasting within a complex engineering or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and solid business acumen to interpret data and drive decisions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, SAP, QlikSense, Tagetik, and MS Visio.
- A curious mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for data continuous improvement.
- A valid passport and driver’s licence, with the flexibility for occasional travel across regions.
