Join our Leeds Service Centre as a Quality Engineer; working in conjunction with the Customer Support Team to ensure quality product and relevant documentation is delivered on time. Our comprehensive Service Centre in Leeds is fully equipped to overhaul and repair all types of rotating machinery. In this role you will be part of the quality team, ensuring that Sulzer remains one of the world's leading manufacturers. In this role you will be accountable for:
- Providing quality support to all departments where required
- Leading project quality
- Creating, reviewing, and coordinating quality plans and inspection and test plans
- Ensuring final inspection is carried out prior to product being dispatched.
- Supporting with the quality management system, continually improving process and procedures ensuring the ISO 9001 accreditation is maintained.
- Supporting with the NCR process, ensuring NCRs are raised correctly, carrying out root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
- Engaging with suppliers to improve supplier quality
- Supporting company initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance a culture of safe working and environmental protection.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience required within this field
- HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related field and/or relevant experience within related industry
- Knowledge and experience creating quality plans
- Knowledge and experience of adhering to ISO 9001
- Knowledge and experience of rotating equipment would be highly beneficial
- Detailed and broad-based knowledge of quality processes and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
