As a Quality Engineer within our PPR division, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring Sulzer’s products and services continue to exceed customer expectations. Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Developing, reviewing and coordinating Inspection & Test plans (ITPs) and Quality plans in accordance with internal, customer and international standards
  • Collaborating with Production, Procurement and our Supply Chain to define inspection & test requirements for machining, welding, assembly, coating and other processes
  • Reviewing & verifying vendor certification to ensure compliance with ITP’s
  • Supporting the NCR processes, facilitating root cause analysis and developing robust preventative actions to help maintain impressive Quality performance metrics
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance a culture of Safety, Quality and Environmental Protection across the organisation
  • Engaging with suppliers via our supplier development program to drive continuous improvement and the reduction of non-conformances

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the field of Quality, or a combination of experience & expertise in similar roles
  • Detailed and broad-based knowledge of Quality processes, procedures and Engineering Standards ideally including API 610
  • Experience developing, reviewing & coordinating ITP’s and quality plans
  • Knowledge and experience of rotating equipment would be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service
  • A methodical and organised approach to work
  • Solid understanding of the application of root cause analysis tools (E.g 5 Why, 8D)
