Sulzer Pump UK in Leeds is a Top Employer and have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Package Design Engineer to join and strength our team.
 
As a Package Design Engineer, you will work closely with design, projects and procurements teams to ensure your assigned package design project is carefully planned from the initial concept, to design, and production, whilst ensuring economical and timesaving measures are provided throughout project execution.

In this role you will be accountable for: 

  • Responsibility for design, processing and supporting activities 
  • Compile engineering design plans for each order or contract 
  • Provide help and support to Projects and Procurement  
  • Prepare and issue, specifications, bills of materials, customer facing drawings, manufacturing drawings and documentation  
  • Liaise with Customers and Sub-suppliers  
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews
  • Design of structural baseplates and piping systems for large rotating equipment packages

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • HNC/Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (degree preferred)
  • Relevant experience within related industry including knowledge of industry practices & standards 
  • Design and draughting skills 
  • Experience with CAD software (Ideally Siemens NX & Teamcenter)
  • General computer skills 
  • Good Communication and Customer service skills 
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change  
  • Excellent attention to detail
