Packaging Assistant Supervisor - Full Time - LeedsUnited Kingdom

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Packaging Supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and precise completion of all assembly operations while adhering to established standards and procedures. In this role, you will play a vital part in achieving our targets and maintaining the quality of our products.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitor existing workload and ensure that resource levels are appropriate for delivery, reporting any shortfalls to Supervisor
  • Monitor on-time delivery of projects, informing Supervisor of status of work as completed
  • Monitors completion of Non-Conformance Reports and reporting issues to Supervisor as required
  • Ensure that build sheets and associated documentation are completed to standard and in accordance with internal processes
  • Liaise with other departments (Engineering, Projects, Inspection and QESH)
  • Provide support and assistance for assembly/test related problems 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, demonstrating a solid foundation in the field
  • Relevant experience within the related industry, showcasing knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of assembly processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, including proficiency in completing risk assessments
  • Very good communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and all departments
  • Inspiring relationship management skills to foster positive working relationships
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently and take initiative when necessary
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a lively work environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all tasks
