We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the Leeds Service Centre into its next phase of growth and operational excellence. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape strategy, optimise processes, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results for our customers.
Our Leeds facility is a key hub within Sulzer’s UK network, specialising in electromechanical services for rotating equipment. The centre provides expert repair, overhaul, and maintenance for motors, pumps, and other critical assets, supporting industries such as power generation, water, and manufacturing. With advanced workshop capabilities and a skilled team, Leeds ensures reliability and performance for our customers.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all operations.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Implement Lean principles and efficiency initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to exceed customer expectations.
- Mentor and develop your team, fostering engagement and career growth.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Experience managing operations in a service or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment or electromechanical services is a strong advantage.
- Ability to manage budgets and deliver cost-effective solutions.

- Strong communication and ability to build trust and collaboration across teams.
