Fantastic opportunity to join Sulzer as a Design Engineer and be a part of the Global Product Development team. Are you a talented driven, enthusiastic, and innovative Engineer with a strong engineering background?    We have the opportunity for you the role will focus on the development of new and existing products, working on some exciting projects ranging from the creation of 3D parametric design tools to the standardisation and improvement of our current range of pumps. 


In this role you will be accountable for: 

  • Product development activities such as the creation of design studies for new and existing products, including related design calculations and report writing
  • Investigate component or assembly standardisation
  • Create and maintain product documentation such as design catalogues, product manuals and spreadsheets
  • Create 3D parametric design tools and associated models
  • Work closely and liaising with the hydraulics and analysis groups and integrate results into designs
  • Co-ordinate design reviews and give presentations and training 


To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Degree/Equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D/2D design experience 
  • Highly driven and able to act independently
  • Experience of design calculations and report creation desirable
  • Relevant experience within related industry, with knowledge of industry practices & standards desirable
  • Knowledge of general MS packages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
  • Attention to detail
