We are looking for a Head of New Business Projects join our Leeds facility. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to manage the projects department, providing leadership and guidance to the team and having overall responsibility for project deliverables.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Overall responsibility for all project deliverables, profitability and accountability whilst providing strategic and operational direction
  • Managing, mentoring, coaching, motivating and improving the overall performance of the project management team
  • Make a key contribution to improving on time delivery, developing key customer relationships and supporting allocated team.
  • Actively support and drive Strategy Deployment within the department using Lean tools and techniques to improve processes.
  • Ensure that Safe Systems of Work are developed and implemented for all activities, through risk assessment and operating procedures. Visibly lead EH&S improvement through observation, intervention and workplace tours.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • Significant experience running teams of project managers in a complex engineering environment
  • Demonstrable experience in an International Engineering Environment, ideally with knowledge of the Pumps industry and the oil and gas sector
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-oriented approach and strong analytical skills and a ‘can-do’ mentality
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, and empathetic team player with a hands-on attitude.
