Join our Energy team within the Flow Equipment division in Leeds as our Project Buyer. You will lead and manage all purchasing related activity for assigned Products and Services.  

 

We are looking for a talented project buyer who is highly motivated, innovative, and great communicator who has a background in engineering, you can help us drive the business to the next level.

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Leading the procurement of assigned project Products and Services within budget and within project timescales
  • Effectively communicate and escalate any risks to delivery dates and production schedule within the business
  • Forge strong working relationships with the projects team to ensure progress meets with the overall project requirements 
  • Conduct root cause analysis reviews and initiate corrective action plans
  • Take a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement initiatives

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CIPS qualification desirable 
  • HNC in mechanical/electrical engineering and/or
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience within a related manufacturing industry 
  • Excellent experience and working knowledge of contract drafting / and the negotiation of supply agreements 
  • Experience of Lean / Six Sigma principles 
  • Familiar with developing Supplier strategies 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent negotiating / cost analysis skills 
  • Strong teamwork ethic
  • Project management skills
  • Good organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
