Join our PE Energy team within the Flow Equipment division in Leeds as our Advanced Procurement Buyer to serve our global customer base for our varied portfolio of projects. Delivering an outstanding service through the management to completion of all aspects of the assigned Purchase orders including identification of new suppliers and supplier development, so we can continue to drive the business to the next level.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Assume responsibility for leading the procurement of assigned project Products and Services within budget and within project timescales
- Evaluate supplier quotations during client tender to support required technical and commercial requirements in line with clients AVL
- Prepare technical and commercial evaluation sheets ensuring full scope of supply has been quoted accurately and like for like throughout panel of vendors
- Makes sourcing recommendations to tendering to support the package bid to client
- Host bid clarification meetings with the tendering suppliers involving all stakeholders within the business
- Expedite internal customers where specification feedback / client feedback is required to enable suppliers to progress with engineering / production activity
- Internal reporting for the assigned commodities
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience within a related manufacturing industry
- Ideally CIPS qualified is desirable
- Extensive Pump industry/ mechanical sea/ large drives knowledge
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Accomplished negotiator with experience of resolving complex issues combining technical, quality & commercial factors
- Electrical motors knowledge is desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Highly developed stakeholder relationship management skills and experience
- Demonstrable previous track record of successful Project Management
- High degree of commercial acumen
- Familiar with developing Supplier strategies
