Blaster/Utility Technician - Full Time - La Porte (TX), United States

We are looking for a/an Blaster/Utility Technician  to join our Services_AME  team in United States .


 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Properly clean blast booth and dispense of used materials. Responsible for preparing parts for processing sand blast room
  • Prepare rotors and components for glass or bead blasting. Properly blast of rotors and components for coating preparation
  • Properly use and operate the overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Comply with the requirements of risk manager assessments of other related safety documents
  • Do not undertake activities that have not been risk assessed or where an assessment is not available understood
  • Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager
  • Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials
  • Comply with the requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Minimum of 2 years blaster experience in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of turbo machinery repair
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
  • High school diploma of GED equivalent
