We are looking for a/an Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our Services_AME team in United States .
Sr Rotating Equipment Engineers provide specialized engineering and analytical services to support repair projects at Services facilities or offer standalone engineering services directly to end users in areas such as repairs of steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, and hot gas expanders, failure analysis of rotating equipment, reverse engineering and CAD modeling, structural and modal analysis for design and evaluation, aerodynamic re-rates, rotating equipment design improvements and specialized repairs, and technical training.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
• Manage execution of the analytical tasks and service listed above: Serve as a primary point of contact for the internal and external customers for all technical matters related to the projects involved. Issue repair recommendations and dispositions, documenting the decisions. Responsible for acceptance or rejection of any item that is outside of the preestablished technical tolerances and/or procedures.
• Responsible for the general outcome and execution of the analytical project when other engineers serve as collaborators. In projects that involve multiple engineering disciplines, the Senior REE will serve as team leader.
• Interface with sales and operations during the development of technical proposals.
• Responsible for defining the work scope and cost estimation of engineering services to be included in technical proposals.
• Write and review technical reports, memos, and presentations. Effectively document details of projects, including requirements, decision-making process and dispositions provided.
• Prepare and conduct technical trainings for external and internal customers.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• 12+ years of engineering experience in the field of turbomachinery (steam turbines, compressors, gas turbines, pumps).
• Preferable experience working for a turbomachinery service provide or a turbomachinery OEM.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software, engineering analysis packages (ANSYS) is highly preferable.
• Excellent writing and presenting skills (technical reports, proposals, presentations)
• Professional Engineer certification is preferred
