Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Full Time - La Porte (TX)United States

 Join our Services_AME  team within Services division in United States as Shipping & Receiving Clerk to help us take Shipping & Receiving to the next level. 

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Primary Functions:
    • Observe Company Safety Policy and Procedures; follow and support all STS Safety Policies and ISO Procedures
    • Be on the job site and in your assigned work area at the scheduled time
    • Complete all documentation pertaining to the work assignment
    • Perform daily Shipping and Receiving duties (documentation, photos, D365 entries, etc.)
    • Keep work area clean and well organized during all phases of the project
    • Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Shipping and Receiving/Storage personnel, Supervisor and Leadman
    • Unload/load trucks arriving/departing with equipment; notifying the correct departments
    • Understand and use the Shipping and Receiving procedures and job work instructions
    • Prepare/preserve rotors and components for long term storage
    • Safely hang and remove rotors from vertical storage
    • Clear and prepare rotors and components for shipment
    • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times (Position deals directly with vendors, customers, all division, and departments on a daily basis)
    • Must follow the STS dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times
    • Assist with maintaining LEAN objections with the department
    • Have and maintain ability to use and operate the overhead crane, torches and forklifts
    • Maintain accurate time sheets on a daily basis
    • Complete company-required training programs

 

  • Secondary Functions/Requirements:
    • Transport equipment and parts around department and between departments
    • Clean and preserve rotors in the wash-bay
    • Perform all duties of the Utility position as needed
    • Comply with the requirements of risk assessments and safety procedures
    • Use PPE as identified in risk assessments or other related safety documents
    • Do not undertake activities that have not been risk assessed, or where an assessment is not available or understood
    • Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager
    • Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Experience in manufacturing or industrial services setting in a shipping and receiving / warehouse function.

Excellent communcations skills: written, electronic and verbal.

Ability to work with a team of indivduals in a productive and effective way.

Abilty to learn, use, and operate the overhead crane, torches and forklifts.

Working hours will be determined by work load and shift coverage needs.  Typically, Day Shift will start between 5:00AM and 9:00AM and end between 1:30PM and 5:00PM; Night Shift will start between 12:00PM and 5:00PM and will end between 10:00PM and 3:00AM.

 

Location: We are based in La Porte (TX)
