We are looking for a/an Night Shift Laser Cladding/Thermal Spray Operator to join our Services_AME  team in United States .

 


 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grit blasting, and masking as necessary to ensure proper adhesion of thermal spray coatings.
  • Operate thermal spray equipment (such as plasma arc, flame spray, or high-velocity oxygen fuel) to apply coatings onto substrates. Operate laser cladding equipment
  • Operate industrial robots. Tasks include setting up programs, touching up points, automatic operation, etc.
  • Select appropriate materials (metallic, ceramic, or composite powders) based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Inspect coated surfaces for uniformity, thickness, and adherence to standards. Make adjustments as needed to maintain a high-quality standard.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of thermal spray equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the cladding process.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Previous experience in thermal spray operations (e.g., HVOF, arc wire, plasma spray) is preferred. Previous experience operating industrial robots is also preferred. 
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating thermal spray equipment, adjusting parameters, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to learn turbomachinery equipment basics
  • Physical ability to work in a shop environment. Ability to safely operate forklifts
  • Be available to work overtime when necessary. This is a night shift position. Dayshift training period will be included before transitioning into night shift. 
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Precision and meticulousness in coating application to achieve consistent results.
