Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Coordinate and schedule pre-employment medical testing for prospective employees, including but not limited to drug screenings, physical examinations, and other required tests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Collaborate within the Health and Safety department to ensure compliance with records retention policies and regulatory requirements related to pre-employment testing.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external medical providers, and candidates to facilitate the testing process and ensure timely completion of requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes to streamline pre-employment testing procedures and improve efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping tasks related to medical documentation.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Previous experience as a medical clerk, medical assistant, or in a similar role is required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and documentation practices.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA.
  • Experience collaborating with Health and Safety departments on records retention and testing compliance is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
