[[Machine Tool Maintenance Technician]] - Full Time - La Porte (TX)United States

 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Observe Company Safety Policy and Procedures; follow and support all STS Safety Policies and ISO Procedures

  •        Have the ability to trouble shoot problem and repair with machines
  • Disassemble and inspect machines and submit repairs to Maintenance manager

  • Complete all documentation if required

  • Communicate mechanical issues found during inspection to the Maintenance Supervisor

  • Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Mechanical personnel, Supervisor, and Lead Man

  • Be on the job site and in your assigned work area at the scheduled time

  • Keep work area clean and well organized during all phases of the project

  • Have/Maintain ability to operate overhead cranes, torches, tooling and forklifts

  • Maintain LEAN objectives within the department

  • Must follow the STS dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times

  • Maintain accurate time sheets on a daily basis

     

 

What you bring to Sulzer:

  • Knowledge and understanding of manual machine tools, grinders and CNC
  • 5+ years of experience in machine tool repair
  • Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
  • Must be able to use precision measuring instruments
  • Machinist trade experience is a plus
  • Electrical knowledge is a plus
  • Must perform any task given by Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
