CNC Programmer

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Primary function is to produce a cad model from data obtained from the reverse engineering of the part.
  • From the model generate a CNC program for machining the part in the CNC.
  • Machine setup and operate CNC machining centers or setup and operate CNC lathes. 
  • Secondary functions including but not limited to operating manual lathes, VTL’’s and mills. 
  • Additional functions is to set-up and operate CNC milling centers 
  • Provide feedback to CNC programmer for optimization of machining process. 
  • Complete all documentation pertaining to the work assignment. 
  • Train new hires or engineers associated with the project being worked on. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Must have CNC operating and setup experience
  • Broad understanding of preparatory and misc. functions (G&M codes). 
  • Be able to interpret manufacturing drawings with GD&T tolerancing. 
  • Experience CNC Programming 
  • Must have experience working with rotating equipment. 
  • Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
