Join our Global Technology team as a Material Specialist, as we continue developing our material knowledge and products for the future!
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Coordinating material research and development, as part of a global team
- Participating in and supporting product development projects with your in-depth material knowledge
- Supporting other functions such as Sales and Operations in the field of material technology: material selections, manufacturing processes, root cause analysis, etc.
- Maintaining and developing material procedures and guidelines
- Organizing material trainings
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- University degree in material technology (M.Sc. / Lic.Sc. / D.Sc.)
- Sound knowledge in general materials science and technology
- Successful and proven experience in metallurgy
- Fluency in English for collaborating with other Sulzer locations and our global team of material specialists

Location: Position is primarily based in Kotka, Finland but also a possibility to work in our Helsinki office. As part of Material Specialist’s global role, parallel recruitment and opportunity exists also at Sulzer Pumps France, located in St. Quentin. We have implemented a hybrid working model which allows you to plan and organize your calendar that suits best for your needs.
