Country Cluster Head of Accounting Nordics

 

Do you have a passion for precision and leadership in finance? At Sulzer, we are seeking a seasoned professional to take charge of accounting operations across the Nordic region. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency while driving improvements that strengthen our financial performance and support strategic growth. This position is based in Kotka or Helsinki, Finland, and it requires working at the office. The salary for this position ranges between 6500-7200 EUR/month. The final salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s skills and experience. 

 

What you’ll do:
•    Ensure compliance with Sulzer Accounting Manual (SAM), regulatory, and tax requirements.
•    Oversee internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
•    Manage preparation and filing of consolidated financial statements and statutory reports.
•    Implement and monitor internal control frameworks and Delegation of Authority.
•    Collaborate with Finance Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to ensure compliant end-to-end processes.
•    Drive standardization and continuous improvement in accounting procedures.
•    Lead and develop the local Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence.
•    Support financial planning, budgeting, and analysis in alignment with organizational objectives.

 

What we’re looking for:
•    Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership in Finance or Accounting.
•    Proven ability to manage large accounting teams across multiple countries.
•    Strong expertise in IFRS and local statutory requirements.
•    Excellent financial analysis, risk management, and audit management skills.
•    Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office; financial modeling skills are a plus.
•    Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
•    Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
•    Fluent in English and Finnish.
