Quality Engineer – Fixed Term Contract – Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure our dispensers and applicators continue to be of the highest quality and meet our customer requirements and expectations throughout their entire life cycle.  

Within your allocated value stream you will support all aspects of Quality Management including quality assurance, control, inspection and supplier quality to ensure the delivery of the scheduled production plan.

 

Duties and responsibilities of the role will include:-

  • Ensuring records are defined, maintained and disposed of according to the company policy.
  • Support quality planning within the Design and Development process including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Minimise the total cost of quality within allocated value stream
  • Support internal audit programme and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor and support corrective action for all incidents (complaints, returns, defects) including measurement and investigation
  • Support any third party/customer audits and resulting corrective action
  • Define and deliver quality training as appropriate throughout the company
  • Maintain, review and action as appropriate quality metrics as defined by the company
  • Ensure appropriate reporting is completed to deadline
  • PPAP and other similar part or process approval including devising control plans, gauge studies, preparing warrants, capability studies and certification
  • Customer complaint administration and concession requests
  • Customer and supplier liaison

     

 About you:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Management Professional who should:-

  • Have experience in a manufacturing  or an engineering environment
  • Have experience of working in a ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Have excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Have a full UK driving license.
