We are looking for a Materials Internship to come and join us at Medmix. This exciting opportunity will allow you use your skills to identify areas of improvement and propose recommendations to management. You will lead and drive the implementation of your recommendations and assess its impact to the business. If you have a thirst for learning and personal development, are highly motivated and organised, and a great communicator, you can help us drive Medmix to the next level. 


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Delivering the Inventory reduction initiative for the business improving stock turns and reducing slow moving inventory
  • Defining key indicator performance for Inventory review for the business.
  • Identifying a key set of actions to improve the business inventory without impacting the company ability to deliver its customer service level target
  • Support process improvement initiative to streamline operations. 
  • Analysis of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine efficiency and ensure with key stakeholder to draw improvement plant
  • Engage with relevant stakeholder to develop and promote adaption of the visual management system

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong analytical mindset and knowledge in data management required (Excel, Power BI, BI application)
  • Undergraduate – Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Strong Acumen in Lean manufacturing principle
  • Technically minded
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office) particularly Excel
  • Numerate
  • Good communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to act independently
  • Experience using SAP ERP system would be an advantage

Location: We are based in Hungerford. The charming market town is conveniently placed for access to the local towns of Swindon and Newbury, with Great transportation links being just off junction 14 of the M4 motorway. Hungerford is also on the main train line from London Paddington to the West Country.
