Join our Chemtech Americas (CT AME) team within Chemtech division in United States as Senior Mechanical Engineer, Systems Business to help us take Systems Business to the next level.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Providing mechanical design guidance to groups outside of Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) / Tabulation of Vendor's quotation, review of vendor offers, preparing technical queries/clarification and technical recommendation.
- Participation in Techno-Commercial discussion with Client for final approval of vendor.
- Vendor document review and approval, vendor co-ordination and vendor meetings.
- QC/QA document (ITP, WPS, QAP, etc.) review and approval. Inspection/FAT Static Equipment.
- Support cost estimation efforts.
- Participate and support Global Initiatives for SB Equipment.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Masters' Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in process equipment design.
- Knowledge of Compress, PVElite, Caesar II, Navisworks, and other Vessel Design software. AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus!
- Good knowledge of resistance of materials, fluids mechanics, ASME, ASTM, and AWS.
- Experience in skid design and inspection.
- Experience in the design of pressure vessels, APT Tanks, Columns, Modular Systems, and Heat Exchangers.
- Experience in structural design, pipe stress, and rotating equipment a plus!
- Ability to coordinate, train, support, and develop Mechanical Engineers level 1 and 2.
- Ability to review layouts and detailed designs of process equipment and modules.
- Ability to interpret/read drawings and customer requirements related to the design of process equipment and modules.
- Ability to interpret PFD's, P&ID's, and to make comments to improve functionality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers, including word processing, database, spread sheets, and electronic design software applications as well as peripherals.
