Sulzer Chemtech is, to a large extent, organized regionally - primarily focused on separation technologies and component business and therein considered market leader. The business unit Global Technology Business (GTB) was established within Chemtech in 2019, it is based on the acquisition of GTC Technology (GTC) - a global licensor of process technologies and provider of equipment solutions for the petrochemicals and refining markets.  The Chemtech legacy Polymer & Crystallization (POFC) group is also added in GTC. GTB now focuses on licensing process technologies and providing engineering services, equipment solutions, and chemicals to a variety of industries like refining & renewables, chemicals & petrochemicals, polymers & plastic recycling.  By using the existing GTC base, building on synergies and already launched short- and medium-term growth initiatives, the target is to achieve significant growth in the coming years. 

 

Join our GTC team within Chemtech division in United States as Regional Sales Manager to help us grow our technology portfolio and aftermarket business in our existing markets as well as bringing in new technologies that serve emerging growth segments. 

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Being a strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute strategies that build sales, profitability, and a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Establishing relationships with business segment leaders to help develop the business in area of responsibility, ensuring accurate forecasting for order intake.
  • Carrying out market research, analysis, and sales forecasting and gathering competitive intelligence and providing market feedback and technology requirements to technology managers.
  • Establishing strong relationships with other business groups in Sulzer to identify additional opportunities for increased collaboration across the complete solution portfolio. 
  • Issuing commercial proposals, incorporating commercial terms in agreements, and structuring deals with customers in close cooperation with business segment leaders.
  • Consulting with other team members to help determine the sales strategy for individual proposals and assure adequate staffing of the proposal effort is in place.

 

 To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process or Chemical engineering
  • Experience in licensing business for process technologies used in hydrocarbon process industry
  • Knowledge of refinery and petrochemical industry with basic understanding of configuration
  • Knowledge of renewable fuels and plastics recycling industries with basic understanding of the market drivers
  • The ability to travel domestic and international
