We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our FE_Energy team in United States.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responds to and resolves employee relations issues by assisting management and coworkers promptly and efficiently.
- Develops and oversees onboarding programs for new hires and transferees.
- Coordinates temporary labor and cost reporting.
- Works toward achieving Affirmative Action (AA) plan recruiting goals and supports diversity initiatives.
- Manages the process for obtaining proper work authorizations and handles relocation for designated employees.
- Maintains training records and tracks training costs and reporting requirements.
- Recommends, develops, and schedules training and development courses for the location.
- Handles inquiries via telephone, email, and in person, determining the nature of the request and directing them to the appropriate department or individual if needed.
- Coordinates the distribution of circulars and announcements as per company procedures.
- Assists employees with benefits inquiries and administration, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Oregon Family Medical Leave Act (OFMLA) tracking, retirement, onboarding, transfers, and exits. Guides employees in completing required benefits documents.
- Reviews and analyzes positions and compensation to ensure alignment with the company’s compensation structure and approved job descriptions.
- Verifies personnel requisitions, salary changes, transfers, new hires, and terminations for accuracy, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Manages the joiner, leaver, and transfer processes for the location.
- Enters and retrieves data from the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generates required reports, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), veteran filings, Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), and monthly reports.
- Maintains and organizes personnel records and files.
- Coordinates annual performance reviews, ensuring all supervisors are notified and provided with the necessary information and assistance for timely completion.
- Conducts new hire orientations, oversees the E-Verify process, and ensures compliance with HR and legal requirements.
- Assists in creating and delivering presentations on HR policies, explaining their purpose and goals.
- Participates in special committees or task forces as required.
- Provides HR support to the wider organization (SPUSA) as needed.
- Actively supports and participates in the company’s Lean and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Management Systems by following all relevant safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Contributes to company-wide Quality Management and Lean efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience and training, required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in HR-related functions.
- In-depth understanding of wage and hour laws, Affirmative Action (AA), and other state and federal labor regulations.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, oral and written communication, and editing skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills and the capability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
