Design Engineer - Full Time - Houston (TX), United States

We are looking for a/an Design Engineer to join our FE_Energy team in United States .
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Performs designs and layouts of standardized pump components, assemblies and equipment.
- Prepares pump design and drawings using 3D CAD suitable for integration into pump design automation tools.
- Works with Product Data Management team to prepare bills of materials to enable the complete manufacturing of pump products.
- Works with Documentation team to prepare or update documentation (sales and technical)
- Performs design calculations to validate design layouts
- Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Checks and provides feedback on drawings prepared by CAD Designers
- Participates in administrative functions of the department, including order and design review meetings
- Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
- Performs other duties as assigned
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent training and experience
- Minimum one (1) to two (2) years experience in design within the Oil & Gas Industry or design of rotating equipment.
- 3D mechanical design and 2D drafting skills using CAD. Experience with NX preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Engineering concepts and application of the principles.
- Good computer and reading/writing skills
