We are looking for a Business Controller  to join our GF_Finance & Controlling, Accounting  team in United States.  

 

 

Role Description

 

Business Controllers serve as the primary financial liaison between local manufacturing operations and the Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring seamless coordination and effective execution of key financial and project management activities. Positioned at either a plant or service site, they ensure seamless coordination and effective execution of key financial processes.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure accurate tracking and management of inventory and backlogs
  • Monitor customer order contract profitability and utilization metrics
  • Link strategic plans to operational and financial drivers, aligning sales and operations planning, resource management, capital projects, other expenses, and working capital planning
  • Generate, model, and execute action plans to address performance gaps and improve overall site performance
  • Perform capacity planning processes that drive accurate input for hourly rate calculations, ensuring alignment between operational capacity and cost efficiency
  • Provide business planning, forecasting, and budgeting know how and support to the relevant stakeholders

 

Job Requirements

 

Education and experience

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Controlling
  • Proven track record in inventory management, cost control, and project management
  • Experience within the manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred

Critical success factors

  • Strong understanding of cost controlling, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise between local operations and CoE
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Technical & language skills

  • Experience with Tagetik and Qlik Sense is a plus
  • Understanding of integrated ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Proficiency in English and local language
