Technical Focal Point - Full Time - FalkirkUnited Kingdom

 

Come and join Sulzer Services UK in the North of the UK, we are looking for a Technical Focal Point who can help to raise the company profile as a technical solution provider, predominantly working in Falkirk and Aberdeen supporting our customer’s needs. This is a hands-on role, supporting customers on site to help resolve technical queries efficiently.
 
Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To be the first point of contact with workshops for technical procedures
  • To provide technical advice to Services Centres in the Northern region
  • To support customers by accompanying them when required offering technical guidance and solutions
  • To prepare reports that review root cause analysis, test findings and continuous improvement recommendations
  • To proactively participate in failure investigations
  • To provide technical advice and training

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Engineering degree or have a formal nationally recognised higher-level qualification or equivalent industrial experience
  • Proven experience with electrical machine service and repair
  • Knowledge of balancing and vibration analysis
  • Confidence to work with customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inform, persuade and influence others
  • Strong presentation skills both in writing and face to face
  • Ability to travel to various UK customer sites and Sulzer locations
