We are excited to announce a newly created Buyer position within our dynamic team. As we continue to expand our operations and enhance our service offerings, we seek a dedicated individual to play a pivotal role in implementing our procurement strategy. The successful candidate will be instrumental in improving supplier and vendor management processes, ensuring seamless operations, and delivering superior service.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that align seamlessly with our business objectives.
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
  • Skillfully negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
  • Regularly monitor supplier performance, ensuring they adhere to contractual obligations and service level agreements.
  • Drive cost savings, streamline processes, and optimise our supply chain.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within an engineering/manufacturing setting.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of supplier relationship management and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to lead discussions and make decisions.
  • In-depth experience of procurement strategies, sourcing techniques, and supplier management.
