Join our CT_MTCS  team within Chemtech division in Germany as Design and Production Engineer to help us take our business to the next level. 

 

Career opportunity: Design and Production Engineer (m/w/d) Sulzer Chemtech in Essen.

 

 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Mechanical Design and Development: Develop static solutions using sheet metal for fluid applications, design welding jigs and fixtures, and collaborate on non-standard customer requirements.

  • Production Engineering: Create project specifications for layouts and machinery, optimize raw materials, and ensure compliance through documentation checks and strength calculations.

  • Quality Assurance and Troubleshooting: Participate in root cause analysis for complaints, report non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.

  • Training and Support: Conduct training for personnel, ensure proper engineering output interpretation on the shop floor, and support installation planning.

  • Continuous Improvement and Cost Management: Lead LEAN projects, perform cost calculations, contribute to organizational learning, and take on additional tasks as needed.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

 

  • Level: Bachelor Subject: Mechanical Engineering
  • Work experience: minimum 2 years in these areas
  • Expertise: Sheet metal design, CAD - preferably SolidWorks, knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, FE analysis, initial experience in production engineering, CAD data management in SAP-PLM/PDM, knowledge of ASME/DIN Code pressure vessels is an advantage
  • Soft skills: Productive even in fast-moving projects, able to get to the heart of facts and technical issues
  • Languages: fluent in German and English
