Job Summary:

As the Regional Sales Director for the Sulzer Services Division, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth across the Sub-Saharan African region. You will lead a dynamic sales team, foster strong relationships with key clients, and collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with Sulzer's strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the Services Division, aiming to achieve regional sales targets and increase market share.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the services sector, understanding their needs to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis:
    Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive dynamics within the region.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of service offerings and alignment with business goals.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Track and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management within the services sector, preferably in engineering or industrial services.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in sales management, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in rotating equipment industry is preferred.
  • Strong background in managing high-performance sales teams.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance analysis.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools.
