Join our Rotating Equipment Services team in Canada as a Field Service Representative to help us take Sulzer to the next level. 

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Strip, inspect, and re-build machinery following pre-established work scopes or using own judgment in a situation where no work scope could be defined i.e. emergency repairs, problem-solving, etc.
  • Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance and on-site Overhauls of Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Compressors and Pumps. 
  • Work to prescribed clearances/tolerances as dictated by the manufacturer’s specifications or good engineering practice
  • Represent the company as a representative for Sulzer on site.
  • Lead other Field Service Technicians (Sulzer, Contractors or Customers)
  • Responsible for completing all necessary paperwork and reports for jobs.
  • Inform closest Service Center of any potential sales activities while at site.
  • Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working on Turbomachinery in the field and within a workshop
  • Time served as a Journeyman Millwright.
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings
  • Prepared to work at customer sites / facilities.
  • Strong ability to utilize technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolve problems.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in latest “Microsoft” software.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics and/or SAP, and Concur expense reporting a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and listening skills.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills.
