We are looking for a/an Field Service Technician  to join our FE_WIBU  team in United States . 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  • Perform “on-site” Startup and troubleshooting on all Sulzer Wastewater products (pumps, mixers, HST and controls).
  • Provide Start up training as well as service school training as needed.
  • Coordination with general and/or sub-contractors to facilitate installation of proposed equipment, including definition of scope, obtain on-site verification that all pre-requisites for installing equipment is met, and final check of the installed equipment prior to commencing start-up procedures.
  • Execution of on-site “Start-up” procedures for equipment sold including completing all forms and templates in accordance with existing Service procedures

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

    • Service Technician with a minimum of two years proven experience in troubleshooting and repair of electric motors and submersible pumps, previous experience working with control panels, PLC’s, and VFD’s a must.

    Electrical and/or Mechanical Certifications are a plus.

    • A strong mechanical and electrical background with the ability to work with rotating equipment, as well as advanced user of tools like meggers, voltage/ohm meters,

    amp probes, power meters, and other more advanced tools like dataloggers with software interfaces (training will be provided for these advanced tools)

    • Experience with PLC control programming or a good understanding of ladder logic a plus.
    • Industrial Communications Networking Protocols – knowledge of or ability to learn
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Team player, flexible, and 100% customer service attitude.
    • Willingness to travel 70% to 95% within North America (must have or the ability to get a valid passport and / or work visas as required)
    • Must have an excellent driving record.
    • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook at an adequate level to fulfill your position needs.
    • Ability to learn the usage of different software for commissioning & troubleshooting
    • Minimum Associate’s degree in engineering or electrical or 2 to 3 years in the submersible pump field doing field service. With strong control background.
