We are looking for a/an Field Service Technician  to join our FE_WIBU  team in United States . 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

    • Perform pump and systems on-site start-up assistance and troubleshooting services.
    • Mechanical and hydraulic analysis, including acquisition and evaluation of system data.
    • Provide start-up training and customer specific maintenance training.
    • Work closely with repair team and Quality Manager to effectively communicate failure analysis, when required.
    • Supervise and at times perform; pump assembly, disassembly, repair or re-work of SPSI products and any supplied ancillary equipment.
    • Train and instruct customers on proper operation, care, and maintenance of SPSI products.
    • Promote Sulzer products and services.
    • Travel + 50% of time to customer sites.
    • Follow procedures according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
    • Safety obligations:
      • All employees understand and are able to explain the structure and objectives of the SBP.
      • All employees follow the safety rules.
      • All employees have "the right and duty to intervene" in the event a safety concern becomes evident.  In addition, Acceptance of an intervention should be accepted in a positive manner as it could have prevented an accident.
      • All employees are required to comply with all work instructions, policies, and posted signs or instructions regarding safety, including but not limited to proper use of required PPE at all times.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

    • Associates level degree with engineering concentration or 5 years relative End Suction Pump Field Service Experience.
    • Strong technical skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail.  Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment (i.e.: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).  Familiarity with machining, welding, and mill-wright skills.  Familiarity with process industries.
    • Strong knowledge of product features, benefits and use.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.  Must work well with both internal and external customers.
    • Ability to work independently, adapt well to change and handle stressful situations.
    • Travel with short notice.  Previous experience with frequent overnight travel to customer sites preferred.
    • Vibration Specialist Certification according to ISO 18436-2, Category III
    • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Valid driver's license
