We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer  to join our [[Flow Equipment]]  team in [[Mexico]] .

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:  

 

  •  Reviews the project information, analyzing the requirements, to ensure that the equipment design meets the customer's needs, based on applicable standards and design guidelines both internal and sectorial, national and international.
    - Performs mechanical design calculations using internal tools (programs and manuals) necessary to ensure the correct design and operation of the equipment.
    - Performs design study drawing using AutoCAD/Inventor to ensure correct assembly and operation between components.
    -Develops bill of materials through SAP (Systems Applications and Products) system using the regulations applicable in the organization for the generation of purchase and production orders.
    - Prepares 2D and 3D drawings by drawing, reviewing and approving for submission to the customer and this in turn review and approve, as well as for use of suppliers and Manufacturing Engineering necessary in the manufacture of equipment.
    - Reviews the compliance of the auxiliary equipment characteristics with suppliers validating that they can ensure the proper functioning of the pumping equipment (plans, instrumentation, motors, turbines, lubrication systems, mechanical seals, etc.).

    - Validates during the final inspection that the equipment has been built as designed by attending the closing meeting to release the equipment.
    - Provides assistance and technical support to suppliers and the different areas of the corporation regarding the equipment supplied by Sulzer Mexico at any stage of the process in order to clarify and define the scope of the equipment to be supplied.
    -Theoretical and practical training for new personnel, as well as the updating process for other team members.
    -Provide technical assistance to suppliers and the different areas of the corporation regarding the equipment supplied by Sulzer Mexico at any stage of the process.
    -Development of activities according to the needs of the company.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

 

  • Mechanical or industrial engineering
  • 10 years of experience in  mechanical design in metal mechanics area generation and interpretation of mechanical manufacturing drawings.
  • Mechanical design on centrifugal pumps and their accessories such as base plates and auxiliary process and lubrication piping, mechanical seals cooling/lubrication plans.
  • Generation and interpretation of mechanical manufacturing drawings.
  • Generation of mechanical bills of materials for pumping equipment.
  • API 610 (American Petroleum Institute -Centrifugal Pumps)
  •  API 682 (American Petroleum Institute -Lubrication Plans)
  •  ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials- Materials)
  •  ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers-Section VIII, II)
  • NEMA MG-1 (National Electrical Manufacturers Association-Electric Motors)                        
  • AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association-Couplings)
  • MR0175 IS BORN, MR0103 IS BORN,
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics (Pumping Equipment).        
  • Interpretation of Engineering drawings (ANSI Y14.5).
  • ATEX/CE  
  • AutoCAD
  • Inventor
  • NX
  • SAP (PLM module)
