Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- - Elaborate and develop the numerical control programs for the CNC machines, the programmer establishes the advances, also selects the necessary cutting tool and establishes the sequence of operation, for the operation of the machines obtaining the product in conditions of quality and safety.
- - The following duties and responsibilities are subject to, but not limited to:
- - Programming: Prepares, prepares, manages, and executes CNC (numerical control) machine programs required by production using machining drawings as a basis for the manufacture of components or parts.
- - Process Optimization: Optimizes processes through tests and simulations of components on conventional CNC machines to improve process times.
- - Set-ups: Identifies cutting tools, speeds, feeds and establishes sequence of operation using Sulzer Pumps set-up formats.
- - Load and Unload: Load programs to CNC machines using Cad/Cam programs for machine operation.
- - Support to the different areas in the plant: Checks that the drawings supplied comply with the specifications and gives feedback to the personnel if any improvement is required in order to improve and avoid failures in the programming.
- - Suggests modification of clamping on casting models and proposes improvements in machining by reviewing machine operation programs to reduce machining times. Supports the engineering designer in the capabilities of the equipment.
- - Training: Trains and supports the operating personnel in understanding and reading the programming and codes to ensure the application of the CNC programs.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Technical career in machine tools
- Knowledge in metal-mechanical and machining processes.
- Timing of production lines and analysis of operator time vs. route.
- Development and implementation of devices to ensure part quality and improve productivity and process optimization.
- Tooling knowledge (inserts, taps, etc), to optimize manufacturing.
- Knowledge of materials (Desirable)
- Microsoft Office, SAP (Desirable), Design Software (Desirable), Programming Software (Fanuc, Siemens and Mastercam)
