Join our Flow team in Procurement as Casting specialist to help us take advance procurement to the next level. 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Resolve model related problems with model and foundry suppliers and if necessary with Sulzer personnel.
  • Analyze quotes for model manufacturing and repair.
  • Elaborate the budget of the area, as well as in its control and monitoring.
  • Manage the verification of models for projects with probability of obtaining 80%.
  • Participate in meetings called by Sales for a possible pattern verification risk release.
  • Participate in the definition of foundry/model supply strategies in conjunction with the Category specialist.
  • Develop and update area procedures.
  • Support and lead the team of model specialists.
  • Lead A3 and/or Kaizen projects.

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

 

Education:

Industrial, mechanical, metallurgical engineering or model and foundry technician.

Experience required in:

5 years:

  • Manufacturing process for casting models.
  • Casting process for carbon steels, stainless steels, CA6NM, CF8M, DUPLEX
  • Drawing interpretation and dimensional analysis
  • Team leadership (minimum 2 people)

Desirable experience:

1 year

  • Centrifugal pumps
  • SAP

 

  • English C 1 (advanced)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Technical competence:
  • Interpretation of drawings
  • Metallurgies
  • Foundry processes
  • Model making processes
  • Kaizen, 8D's, 6 SIGMA, FLOW DIAGRAMS, VSM (Any of these)
  • Excel
