Join our team as a Service Engineer at Sulzer Zambia Services! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our engineering department and make a meaningful impact.

 

 Purpose of the job:

 

Support Sales Offices and their personnel in pump, agitator and compressor service-related issues, e.g. installation supervision, start-up and commissioning, trouble shooting and customer training.

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Support Sales Offices and perform at customers pump and agitator service-related tasks, i.e. installation supervision, start-up and commissioning, trouble shooting and customer training.
  • Work together with Product Development to bring field related information on pumps and other Sulzer equipment’s’ performance, defects and malfunctions to the development of these equipment.
  • Educate oneself on new products and features at or if possible before their launch to be able to support the Sales Offices and customers.
  • The support will be given, especially, out of France. Availability to travel around the world, especially within EMEA South region, understanding of different cultures, capability to manage complicated situations and independency to arrange all travel related documentations and preparations are a must.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or Technologist
  • In-depth training of pump and other Sulzer products, features and their applications
  • Trouble shooting and performance measurement skills
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Deep understanding of Sulzer pump and agitator products, all generations, and their applications
  • Specialization on most Sulzer products
  • Understanding the processes in the industries served
  • Understanding of performance measurement devices and analytics
  • Influencing and persuasion skills
