Join our Operations team within Rotating Equipment Services division in Chattanooga, TN as Journeylevel Mechanic to help us take Sulzer to the next level. 


In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Using common hand, air, and power tools, assemble horizontal and vertical pumps per engineering instructions, drawings and work orders. 
  • Perfoming hot work for installation of subcomponents. 
  • Coordinating work with assembly mechanics and assisting them in accomplishing tasks. 
  • Resolving issues with work instructions to shop, including interfacing with engineering, purchasing, quality, planning and project coordinators. 
  • Coordinating and communicating schedules and requirements with other manufacturing departments.
  • Participating in production meetings by providing current work status updates and scheduling/capacity input.  



To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience in a related environment, preferably working with pumps
  • Strong leadership skills and ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with a variety of individuals and teams
  • Basic computer/software skills including MS Office Suite
  • Regular and reliable attendance, as well as on-site work, are essential functions of the job.
