Field Service Engineer - Full Time - Casalecchio di RenoItaly

 

 

Join our FE_WIBU  Field Service   team within Flow Equipment  division in Italy as Field Service Engineer to help us take the Service Departmentr Area to the next level. 

 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • mainly deal with the support of HST turbo blowers, the Nordic Water range and, transversely, the electrical and electronic components supplied with other electromechanical products (pumps, shredders, etc.)
  • will be responsible for analyzing problems and identifying solutions. 
  • After adequate training and coaching, the resource will carry out the activities listed mainly independently, except in cases where more people are needed to complete the intervention.
  • The resource will operate mainly on the Italian territory, with the possibility of occasional interventions abroad
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of high-tech Sulzer products and their electrical and electronic components such as inverters, microcontrollers, PLCs and control panels.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, repair and replacement of Sulzer products under its responsibility at customer sites and, in particular, of their electrical and electronic components (e.g. inverters, PLCs, control panels, etc.)
  • Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic problems (on site, and/or through remote connection devices)
  • Provide first support by phone
  • Carry out commissioning and field configuration of new products
  • Define the spare parts and activities necessary for a possible repair
  • Provide clarifications on faults and illustrate the results of the interventions to customers
  • Manage technical problems and prepare intervention reports
  • Regularly communicate task status with your supervisor and team
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and document their use in accordance with company practices
  • Track intervention costs in accordance with company practices
  • Maintain relations with the production units, in English, for the resolution of faults and the reporting of production defects
  • Manage, for the products of competence, the warranty processes through the company practices and tools made available
  • Participate in internal and external training courses related to your business
  • Support the sales force by disseminating, where required, their technical knowledge

 

What you bring to Sulzer:

 

Work experience:   3-5 years in similar positions
Skills:
•    
Good knowledge of the operation of electric motors
•    good knowledge of the operating principles of industrial electronic components (inverters, microcontrollers)
•    Knowing how to correctly read and interpret electrical diagrams and P&I diagrams
•    Experience in the maintenance of electronic components (replacement of electronic boards, cooling fans, etc.)
•    Use of instrumentation for electrical measurements
•    Basic fundamentals of the operating principles of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Modbus TCP, Profinet)
•    Using the Office Suite

A plus:
•    
Previous experience in the field of civil and industrial purification and in the field of control/automation
•    Basic knowledge of Siemens plc and programming (ladder logic, FBD).
•    Experience in the maintenance of electromechanical products (e.g. electric motors) 

 

 

Education : Upper secondary school diploma with an electronic/mechatronic focus or  equivalent previous training
 

Certifications: B License
Knowledge of foreign languages
: Written and spoken English, mainly for communication with production units but also for possible use in foreign business trips

•    Proactivity and aptitude for problem solving
•    Willingness to travel >50% on Italian territory and occasionally abroad
